Andy Boothman

Designer. Andy began his fashion journey in 2018 with the launch of DressCode Shirts which created a world first, CashCuff, wearable payment technology within the shirts. Andy has a real passion for sustainability, collaborating with like-minded businesses and organisations to tell stories with clothes, for example the British Antarctic Survey, whom for COP26 used the Climate Code shirt, designed by Andy, to tell the climate story, including sharing over 800,000 years of data.

Sustainable production is at the heart of Andy’s vision, working with closed-loop, wood pulp materials and using technology insights and experimentation to minimise the consumption of resources during production. This has recently been expanded into the upcycling space with the ReCode service. Where Andy and his team work with existing materials and garments to create ‘new’ items of clothing.
