Nina Ward

Nina Ward, the founder of Butterflies, has a background in various fields that equip her to support young girls. Her experience includes counseling, mentoring Looked After Children, advocating for herbal and traditional medicines, and working as a qualified Holistic Therapist and Home Educating parent. Before founding Butterflies, Nina also had a successful career as a Consultant, designing and delivering training programs for organizations.

Nina's interest in girls' well-being during puberty stemmed from her studies in anatomy, physiology, and women's health.

She questioned how having this knowledge as a teenager could have impacted her own life choices. This realization, along with discussions with other parents who expressed a need for such support, led Nina to develop the Butterflies program in 2019. The program's success has resulted in growing demand from both parents and girls seeking this kind of external support. In response, Butterflies is looking to expand its reach by recruiting and training more facilitators and mentors.
